The Centre for Early Mathematics Learning is pleased to announce our annual
Early Years Day at Loughborough University.
This event is aimed at early years educators, managers, teachers, nursery owners, researchers and those interested in understanding how children learn maths.
Join us on Saturday 8th June 2024 at Loughborough University for an Early Years day, full of presentations, discussions and networking opportunities, brought to you by the Centre for Early Mathematics Learning. Find out about the latest research in maths education, play research-informed games, discover new teaching strategies, and share ideas with other colleagues. This ‘rooted-in-research’ early maths conference will provide valuable information and practical ideas to support your setting.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided, and our agenda and other information will follow shortly.

Travelling by car
Loughborough’s nearest motorway link is the M1; the campus is just two miles from Junction 23. The University is clearly signed on all the other main approach roads to Loughborough. Use the postcode LE11 3TT when setting your destination.
Travelling by rail
Regular services operate between Loughborough and other main line towns – including daily trains to and from London St Pancras International, 90 minutes away. Taxis are normally available from the station.
University shuttle bus
The Sprint service from Loughborough Railway station brings you straight to campus. Stops on campus include: Students’ Union, Pilkington Library, Wolfson School and Holywell Park. In term time this service runs every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday.
